What is
combination skin?

As the name might reveal, combination skin combines the properties of two different skin types: dry and oily skin.
These two properties appear on different but adjacent areas of the face. Oily areas are mostly found in the T-zone, whereas dry areas lie mostly on the cheeks. While dry or oily skin can occur on every part of the human body, combination skin is found only on the face.
These different characteristics of combination skin make skin care rather challenging, as the T-zone needs extra attention. Characteristics: oily shine (T-zone), large pores (T-zone), impurities (T-zone), cheeks are mostly dry and sensitive.

How to take care of combination skin?

CLEANSING

As combination skin is very sensitive, it requires special cleansing and care. Under no circumstances should aggressive cleansers be used. These irritate the skin and it would react with additional sebum production, especially in the T-zone. Regular cleansing (morning and evening) is essential to gently remove dirt from the skin.

BALANCING PRODUCTS

Use balancing care products that provide the skin with enough moisture while regulating and mattifying sebum production in the greasier areas.

LIGHT & UV PROTECTION

Make sure that your skin care cream has a sun protection factor of at least SPF 30. Protection against UV rays prevents premature skin ageing and possible skin diseases. UV protection with modern bluelight technology also offers effective protection against cell phone and screen/computer radiation.

HEALTHY DIET

Avoid fatty and sugary foods. Nicotine and alcohol should be a strict taboo due to their circulation-inhibiting properties. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, on the other hand, are good vitamin and nutrient suppliers, which are also important for collagen and elastin production.
